Hi everybody,
So the end of my week blogging has arrived! It was another good week, all my horses jumped great. Up was super in the 7 year olds and yesterday I also did the ticketed warm up to see how he jumped the water. As expected he didn’t even blink, but I always Iike to practice once before facing it in the ring, especially since the outdoor season for him has just begun. That’s another part of the show that is so great for developing horses: there is a ticketed warm up in one of the back grass rings with all kinds of jumps and an open water so you can practice something, work on a problem, try a new bridle, etc.
Stakki had a good week jumping clear in the 1.45 Friday and having a light pole in the Saturday Grand Prix. And Cosi has been a star these few weeks here – he jumped fantastic yesterday but we were missing a bit of luck at the 4th fence! But Cosi has given me 100% each class here and I’m thrilled with how he’s been going. The standard of these 3* Grand Prix’s has been so high – the course was very technical and in the end there were very few clear.
Big congratulations to Janika who has had a stellar tour! She’s also such a lovely person, so I’m always happy to see her win! I have to thank my super team of people, especially Joy Montgomerie who was here with me his weekend. She only recently started working for me and I feel so lucky to have her managing my horses. She is spending every moment working on the horses to keep them happy and healthy and it’s been such a pleasure having her. The best news of all, my dad comes Wednesday! I’m very close with my Dad and it’s been too long now since I saw him!
I have just this final week left and then I head back to Germany for Braunschweig with Cylana, Charity, and Soraya. Just a few more days of sunshine, I had better make the most of it!!
Thanks for following the blog, hope you all enjoyed it!
