Reed’s long-time partner Ligist – aka Goose – retires at the age of 17 after nine years of competing together. Goose and Reed grew together from junior jumpers to five-star Grand Prix level. Together they had wins and podium finishes in Geneva, Dublin, Hickstead, Paris and Calgary.
“After so many amazing years together, I am happy to be able to give Goose the retirement he deserves. When I got him as a junior rider, I never thought we would end up jumping what we did. On top of his qualities in the ring, Goose is the happiest, goofiest and most loveable guy – I am so grateful for everything he has done for me. I also would like to thank everybody along the way who helped us on our journey,” says Reed.
Ligist will now enjoy the big green fields at Kessler Show Stables’ European base in Guttecoven, Netherlands.
